When this Bible arrived I was unsure who was the most excited. All opinions expressed are my own and this is my honest review. It comes in hardback which means it will also be very durable which is usually a plus for this age range. The font is easy for all ages to read. This section helps add a little more to who they are in their story.
The only negative I have about this particular Bible is the lenticular picture on the front of the bible, the ribbed 3D kind of thing. The Bible suggests ages up to 10 however I feel this bible is better suited to the older ages. Actually, I think there are more pictures within the book than in this Bible. And when she finds it, she will call her friends and neighbors together. Our Faith Builders Bible came in a hardcover format. I have found my lost coin.
She can really convey God's feelings to His children really well, so her books are a masterpiece. . It does not add the excess weight and materials that may not useable by this age group. I can see how some would feel that way but I'm more of the belief that as long as it stays true to the Bible and is a way to get kids to open it, I'm all for it. If Lego's are what makes a little boy or girl decide to give the Bible a read, I fully support the Faith Builders Bible! How long will it take? I do recommend this Bible to anyone looking a new way to interest your kids in reading their Bible and learning more from it and about it. I did not find anything in this book that would lead it to be only for a certain age group or group of people. Zonderkidz Faith Builders Bible is an amazing way of combining the love of scripture with the love of brick-building. This edition has a few things I'm not fond of so hence the 4-star for the edition. I have three littles and there is nothing more important to me than getting the Word of God into their sweet little hands, hearts, and minds. I rate this Bible 4 stars and would love to buy it as a gift for young children and would highly recommend it to others. Hardbacks are a must at these young ages. It even has some maps included. Is that the only place you can control your destiny? The other main differences is in vocabulary. When this Bible is first opened, there is a beautiful presentation page made of heavy weight paper.
Now about the Bible and extra pages inside. This may be my favorite Bible so far. The idea of God writing letters directly to the child is fun and a creative way to engage young children with Biblical text. There is a dictionary in the back of the Bible and a list of great Bible story references. My son said that it helped him picture what may have been happening during the Bible stories and it has given him a new way to use his building bricks.
I do think the bright colors and cartoons would appeal to children as this is designed for ages 6 to 10. I hope we can always discuss what they're reading and answer questions. The cover of this book is so inviting for those little eager readers waiting to dive deep into their Bibles. The book introductions are very colorful and show clearly the basic information for each book. The Did You Know fact section has been lots of fun for me to read.
